Hello! My name is Makayla S. Hancock. I am currently a sophomore at Washburn University where I am a mass media major and communications minor. I am also apart of campus board activities and the programmer of Black Student Union. Reading blogs is one of my favorite things to do so I hope this will be a great summer class course! This summer, my blog will be about making positive changes in children's education!
What are some of you favorite blogs? You could link to them on you homepage!
ReplyDeleteBeen a bit behind more than others! Made some new post and links to other blogs! :)
DeleteEducation is truly the most valuable thing. No one can take it away from you, but not everyone is lucky enough to receive a proper education.
ReplyDeleteI agree! It takes more people like us to step up and show children that they are more than enough and they can rule the world any kind of way they want if they put their mind to it!
DeleteAlthough we are not assigned in the same group I really liked the idea of your blog. Helping facilitate education is a very important tool. And often letting children know the more opportunities they will have and how more their life could be enriched by having an education is enlightening. It all starts with teaching children at a young age so it will stick with them in the long run. Your blog seems very interesting and informative.
ReplyDeleteI agree! I work with youth every single day, Monday through Friday and it is so sad to see what these children are facing daily. Some grow up certain ways because they learn one environment at home so that is what they bring into the schools. I believe change in educations is so necessary! Teaching math, reading, and science is definitely okay, but we need more teachers who are willing to work with these students on life skills, college students who will speak to our youth!
